Violent shutter after a pothole on the passenger side, surprised, slowing down stops it until the next bump?

Smoked a pothole on the passenger side, surprised that airbags did not deploy.

Yep, it sounds like you bent a tie rod end or the inner tie rod from the rack and pinion which is common when this happens. You need to get under the truck and using a flashlight check the tie rod and inner tie rod out. Check out the images (below).
