Vehicle revving

When driving the vehicle starts to rev, when you switch off it starts to work normal. A pressure control solenoid B fault showing up.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Pressure control solenoid B is in the transmission and is most likely responsible for the symptoms. Does it see as if the transmission is slipping? If the line pressure drops in the transmission, it will basically start to slip. That is what I believe is happening.

Let me know. Also, let me know if the diagnostic trouble code is a P0967 or P0966.

One last thought. This type of problem should fall under the power-train warranty. The factory power-train warranty is five years or 60,000 miles. I realize time may be an issue, but you should check on it. If it just ran out, I think I would argue the point.

That code is what indicated the issue with the pressure control solenoid. There are a few different things which can cause it. Here is a list:

Defective Solenoid
Dirty fluid
Clogged transmission filter
Transmission Pump
Valve Body hydraulic passages plugged
Damaged or corroded connector or wiring
Faulty PCM
