Went to start the truck up and nothing happens. No sounds from the starter. Just quite. Recently just changed the transmission. Ran great before I change the transmission. Now it will not turn over. All the lights work. Battery is good. Even tried starting it with lights on they did not dim. Maybe something is wrong with the starter?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Since you just replaced the transmission, are you sure the neutral safety switch is connected and everything is properly adjusted? See if it will start in neutral. If it does not, turn the key to the start position and take the shifter from park to low 1 to see if it cranks in any position.

I attached a picture of where the switch is located.

If you are confident the switch is not the problem, here is a link that shows how to check the starter:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
