Truck ideals good but when you put in gear and give it gas fall on its face

The brake booster has been going bad but it still run ok but now while in gear I give it gas it falls on its face but there is a certain spot you can hold gas pedal and it will catch up until you go to another gear I dont no where to start I can fix it but need help with whats wrong with it all help would be appreciated

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge check for a vacuum leak auto parts rent gauge

I checked fuel pressure its 13 pounds changed erg valve I noticed brake booster was making a hissing sound when you apply brakes and when idling the motor changes idle also so unplugged vacuum hose to brake booster and drove it run better wasn't falling on face and didn't have to feather gas pedal if the brake booster is bad will it take to much vacuum from the motor to make it run like a bad fuel pump

Yes if it's hissing it's leaking and needs repair that is more than likely your problem.
