I was driving and heard a pop and due to my transmission going out in my other car six months ago I immediately pulled over. I put the car in park and when I went to put the car in drive it would not go anywhere. I put it in reverse and it moves. A few days prior to this I noticed that when I put my car in reverse it hesitated at a little. Two days prior to this I got my oil changed and was going to flush the transmission fluid but they said it looked fine. The code on the reader said p0732. I am just wondering how do I know if it is a solenoid or a transmission issue? Has anyone had any other experience like this. I cannot afford to have my transmission done in the shop. :(

Hello, I am Danny.

The code P0732 is for Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio. I have attached a photo explaining was is going on with your transmission problem. Most likely a transmission/repair shop will have to remove the transmission pan and test/inspect a control valve or solenoid to remedy the situation in your transmission. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
