Hi there, Please help me out of this.

today morning everything was just fine, I traveled from city to another where there could be a bit hotter than my city.

In my way back, the transmission indication (P, R, N, D, 2, 1 modes.) Is totally gone from the car dashboard and as well as the RPM sudden reached up to 4K on the tachometer @ 120 kmh. While pressing on the fuel pedal, the car won't accelerate but the engine is revs up to the 4K rpm.

I checked the transmission fluid while the engine is running, I guess its alright no burning smell as well as no impurities on the transmission fluid stick.

any suggestion why is this happening?

Please check the attached photo. The blue square shows where the transmission indication it should be whether its on P, N, D, R, etc. But its not showing it at all.

NOTE: my car don't have a CVT transmission, it's just an Automatic one A\T.

Hi,

First, please understand we don't have this model in the US, but I will try my best to help.

If you lost the gear indicators, it sounds like there is an issue with the transmission range sensor. This electrical component is located on the transmission and usually is either attached to where the shift linkage is located or in the transmission

Check to see if you can locate it. I attached a picture of one below, so you get a general idea of what you are looking for. I believe your vehicle is very similar to our Nissan Sentra, but I can't be 100% sure. Pic 1 shows the sensor and pic 2 shows the location on a Nissan Sentra.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
