Transmission failure, will not shift into drive or reverse when the engine is cold?

Hello everybody,

The transmission of my vehicle listed above Sport fails to shift into D or R when the engine is still cold, only a ticking sound is heard. Once the temperature is normal it can shift to D or R. Any idea of the reason for that?

Yes, if the transmission fluid is low, it will cause this issue.
