Transmission replacement advice?

Recently purchased a very low mileage car listed above RS, automatic. The car drove an hour home transmission was slipping like previous owners stated it was. sent it on a flatbed the next day. A mechanic starts drooling over the car and also telling me it's hard to find transmissions I don't mind if it's in manual swap for 420 or an automatic. If I can find a cheap transmission, I'll do it myself.

You could swap in a manual transmission if you install a clutch pedal as well. I believe the CV axles will be different as well. If you want to keep the automatic here is how to change the unit out.
