The car will drive in D, D1, D2, but will not reverse. What could be making this happen? I was told it could be the solenoid or something like that. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is probably an internal problem it can be a stuck fork shaft, bad modulator valve, reverse CPC valve, burnt or bad seals on fourth clutch/accumulator. I doubt it is a gear problem, but it could be that. Have a transmission specialist scan for codes.
