My transmission had a crack in one line and I fixed it. Now third and fourth gears are not working.

So did you loose a lot of transmission is fluid? How much fluid did you lose?

I added four quarts after I fixed the line.

That is a lot of fluid if it had third and fourth gear and they worked good before the fluid loss. I would say you damaged the transmission from the low fluid. Same thing happened to me on my 1978 Camaro. The transmission worked great until I had a line leak. I replaced the line and fluid. I lost third gear after that happened. Do you have any codes in the computer?
