I have recently replaced all friction and steel plates in the 4r70w and have new torque converter I will be adding. Can you tell me what would be the best transmission fluid and how many quarts since the converter is new as well as the transmission cleaned and no fluid at all. Just do not know how many quarts.

This transmission calls for 1.9 quarts, but that is always just the starting point. Add as necessary until the proper level is seen on the sip stick. Use Mercon, V (XT-5-QM)).
