Transmission problems

While I was driving my van suddenly jerked and what seems to be in neutral. It will go into gear but will not engage or move. I recently did a transmission flush and notice small pieces of metal. There was no damage from what I could see. Not really sure about transmissions please help. Thank you for your time.

Good morning.

It sounds like the torque converter has failed. I had two of these and had the same failure on both vehicles.

I suggest a transmission shop to be sure that is the issue. If that is the case, then the transmission will have to be removed and inspected.
