My clutch pedal does not have any tension when pushing it to the floor. What's wrong?

Hi,

The clutch system on this vehicle is hydraulic. The primary components are a clutch master cylinder and a slave cylinder.

The clutch master cylinder is located under the hood on the driver's side. See pic 1 below. The slave cylinder is located on the bell housing of the transmission. See pic 2.

First, check the clutch fluid reservoir on the clutch master cylinder (MC). If it is low, refill it and retest the system. If there is no change, check around both the clutch master cylinder and slave for evidence of leaks.

In most cases, either of the two will leak when it fails. So, if you are able to locate that type of issue, replace that component.

If you look at pics 3-5, they provide the directions for removal and replacement of the clutch slave cylinder.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
