Electrical problem
2003 Toyota Pickup 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 120000 miles

Dear Sirs,
I have two electrical questions on my Toyota.
1. The gas gauge just recently started acting erratically. It wanders between 1/4 and 3/4 tank when there it is more than 3/4 full.

2. The parking brake light remains on in the dash and will not shut off. I tried disconnecting the wire at the switch at the bottom of the emergency lever, but that didn't work either.

Hi there,

The fuel gauge problem will more than likely be faulty sender unit in the fuel tank, and the brake light, check that the brake fluid is not a bit low, I think you will find that this is a low fluid warning light as well, the brake fluid level will drop a bit as the brake pads wear out.
