1990 Toyota Pickup Engine won't idle without A/C on.

Whenever the A/C is off, my 1990 Toyota P/U with a 22RE engine will not idle. It dies almost immediately. With the A/C on, it will idle but not as smoothly as it should. It runs fine other than when stopped at idle.

Hi there,

Have the base idle checked, as I feel it is way to low, when the A/C is on the idle up that compensates for the A/C load on the engine will step up the idle and this is what may be keeping it going, check this out first.
