Vehicle: 1988 Toyota Pick Up. I am attempting to remove the driver's side interior door panel to ultimately repair the driver's side view mirror which fell off (the passenger side view mirror is also loose so I'll deal w/that next).

I have removed the interior door handle and the door opener cover but am stumped with the manual window arm. How do you remove a manual window arm so that I can pull the door panel back or off to work on the mirror base from the inside. Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Are you talking the window crank? Or something else?

Yes, the window crank. Sorry, I didn't know what it was called. How do you remove that? Is there a set screw in there somewhere? Any help is appreciated.

Try to pull on the window crank base and see if it will separate and pivot showing the screw holding it on.

If not there is a special tool to remove it.

You can also try wrapping a cloth around the base of it very tightly and pull and see if that will pop it off.
