I just changed the starter in my truck. Everything went smooth but now it does not idle at all. Will start every time with gas petal assistance and will drive fine, when foot is off the petal it dies. I looked for something I might have disconnected but found nothing

Look for a disconnected vacuum hose, try raising the idle speed by turning the idle screw and recheck the ignition timing.

Carb. I looked again for any loose hoses, but found none. Are there any wires that could effect the idle like that
