Hi,
I'm driving a Toyota Corolla 99 for the first time. Every time I turn in the key I get a check light on in the top right hand corner. It has a picture attached. It is probably a picture of an engine or motor. However once I start the ignition the light goes away. Is there any reason for concern?

Its suppose to do that, if it stays ON your in trouble-the ECM has detected a problem within the engine management system.

By "if it stays ON", you mean after I START the engine / ignition? So if it disappears then it's fine?
