Check engine light came on as soon as it died, pulled over into parking lot, turned key off, tried to start again, engine turned over several times then started, several moments later while rounding a curve, I stepped on the accelerator but no engine rev, motor continued to run but no go, pulled over, shut engine off, restarted, then it worked normal. Got home, code reader says P0607 (control module performance). I had a rav4 that I had to get rid of because 2 toyota dealership could not figure out the problem. One told me it was the PCM, I bought a new one for a fortune and it did NOT fix its problem. I bought this corolla brand new in its place.I swear if this is serious money repair or worse yet, something toyota technicians throw their hands up over, I will never own another toyota as long as I live. Please advise, joe

P0607 is a CPU malfuncton, other than checking the power and grounds to the PCM, Toyota should replace the PCM.

This repair is covered under TSB EG 042-07 and repair is covered for 96 months or 80K miles.

So have them fix it for FREE under this TSB.
