2005 Toyota Corolla Check Engine Light

The yellow check engine light came on. A code reader only comes up with 'E' & does not clear the code. Any ideas of what could be the cause?

Hi there,

This will be an error message, some cheaper scanners wont read all codes, I would get the car checked with a quality scanner to retrieve the codes, start here.
