My engine loses power after going thru puddle and you suggested that cam-position sensor may be faulty; local Toyota parts rep said my corrolla doesnt have cam-position sensor and the shield under chasis appears to be in good shape; could the upstream o2 sensor ground out if not protected from water? What do you think? D'ont drive in the Rain; right.
I should have bought the rain-proof model. Rob

Disconnect sensor electrical connections starting at lower end of engine. Buy some electronics cleaner and clean both sides of connector, let dry and use a dielectric grease on connector. This will help electrical conductivity and seal out water.
