I just took my car to a shop who charged me $40 to tell me my axle shakes a lot to the point they believe my axle bearings need to be replaced and suggested I take it to a transmission shop. They guy said it was very unusual for a car of my mileage to have this issue. He was also shocked that the seal was not leaking transmission fluid but thought if it wasn't fixed soon it might not only leak, but actually break and then I'd have a bigger problem. He also said my rt front tire bearing needed to be replaced which he could do but thought I should start with the axle bearings. What would axle bearing replacement cost? Separate from that what does a wheel bearing replacement cost?

Toyota uses pressed in bearings, the knuckle has to be removed and bearings pressed out/in.

You are probably looking at $500-600.
