Last night I filled up my tank and now this morning my car is sputtering and shaking when I come from a stop. As I got onto the freeway the car kinda smoothed out but it still sputtered and shook. Can it just be bad gas, an EGR valve or something else

Engine running rough or misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.

Good advice by Raz, but I would go with the bad gas option, since you say it started after a fill up.

Use Heet or some other alcohol based additive to purge any possible water from fuel system.
