1990 Toyota Corolla car turns off

i got a toyota corolla 4 door dx, manual and it turns on fine. However, when I try to move it and put in the 1st gear and accelerate while removing the clutch, it turns off. I recently changed the spark plugs thinking that was the problem and when I checked them, 2 of the spark plugs were oilly and had motor oil on them. I had to clean them up along with the spark plug slot. It still had the same problem. Why does this happen?

Does the engine run smoothly when it idles? Also, when you say there was oil on the plugs, was it on the electrode (the part that goes in the engine) or the outside of the engine?

Also check the clutch start safety switch, this prevents the engine from being started unless clutch is depressed. It may be malfunctioning/shorting causing the engine to shut off.
