1989 Toyota Corolla shuting off the car

I live in AZ and with the hot weather my car has been running extremely poor. Specifically when I park and attempt to shut it off it diesel quite badly. Any thoughts?

Hi there, have the ignition timing set correctly if efi the data link will have to be earthed out. Check general tune as well, and make sure that the idle speed is not to high as this will affect it as well.
