Toyota Camry door lock

I have a 1998 Toyota camry with 123000 miles with a 4 cylinder engine. The left rear door lock will sometimes lock and unlock, sometimes it doesn't. It will do the same when you start the vehicle and put it in gear, it will sometimes lock and sometimes not. The same thing will happen with the keyless entry remote and the manual lock button on the driver's door. Any answers?

I have a 1997 Camry with the same behavior. I joined the forum to try to find the cause. Intermittently, but frequently, the wireless entry won't work. Sometime when I push the master unlock on the Drivers door, the rear door on the passenger's side doesn't unlock and I have to reach behind the seat and manually unlock it.
