Noises problem
2004 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Driver's side wiper clunks at both ends of it's range. The wiper seems to hit the frame as it comes up. The sound is louder on faster speed. Also the blade seems to have too much tension on the windshield and flips hard as it changes direction. The Toyota dealer has looked at it 3 times and has no idea what to do

Hello and thanks for donating

It seems as though the wrong size of blade is fitted on the wiper arm. As for the pressure, make sure the wiper arm is not bent, even a slightest bend in it will cause it to put more pressure on the blade.

I appreciate your answer arriving so quickly, but they are things I have tried. The Toyota dealer put on their blades too. It is as if the arm goes further in the arc than it should. The arms have been checked for bends and alignment and are supposedly ok. Is there any kind of adjustment that can be made to control the arc distance or the tension of the arm?
