1998 Toyota Camry Saving Battery

Dear Sir, I will be going on a holiday soon and my car wouldn't be started for 2 weeks till I come back. Any suggestions to save the life of the battery? I was told that disconnecting the negative would be sufficient to ensure that my battery wouldn't be dead by the time I came back. Thanks.

If the battery is in good condition shouldn't be a problem-depends on the weather. When disconnected the computer has to relearn certain parameters.
