1993 Toyota Camry EGR valve

My check engine light came on. It says something wrong with my egr system. Is there a way I can check my egr valve if its bad.I dont want to buy one if is not it.I dont know if is the egr valve or the EGR Vacuum Modulator Valve.

Try cleaning it out and make sure its getting vacuum thru the VSS and modulator
