1993 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 142000 Km
I never had the slightest engine or other major problem with this Camry of 1993. Lately, following a regular 142000km service I was told of a crak in the air intake and advised to have it fixed as it might cause problems later on. I did notice a faster idling over the past few months and lately a slightly higher fuel consumption(reg). The price quoted for the air intake hose (from my mmechanic but obtained from a local toyota dealer is $ 222.90 (Canadian). I find it a little steep. Should I get a new part and will it do anything to improve the problems mentioned above? Any idea of the labor involved. Thanks in advance.
