Bucking Problem

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS V-6 with 137,650 miles. For some time, I have experienced an intermittent bucking problem. It is not predictable and does not cause a check engine light or other visual indication of a problem. The spark plugs have been replaced, the injectors flushed, and the ignition coils tested. These items have not solved the problem. The car has never stranded me due to the problem but it is very annoying and frustrating to not be able to find a solution to the problem. I would appreciate your advice

Hi there.

I would re visit the fuel injectors, the spray pattens may be faulty and often pintals will need to be replaced to improve fuel air mixing. Injector clean in a can is just that, it will aid in the removal of lacquer build up in the fuel system, but if the spray patten is faulty due to a faulty pintal, no amount of cleaner will fix it.
