2003 Toyota Avalon Engine Light On

2003 Toyota Avalon 6 cyl Automatic

I checked the manual and tried tightening the gas cap but that did not work and now it is with my mechanic but I would like to know what the problem is so. Apparently it does not have to do with the catalytic sensors.

There are many different trouble codes that the vehicle's computer stores. Do you know the trouble code that the engine light is illuminate for?
