2000 Toyota Avalon

2000 TOYOTA AVALON

I have to replace the rear windshield in my 2000 Avalon. The rep. At the glass company has a 4 wire rear windshield in stock, but my 2000 Avalon has a 3 wire connector. Does anyone have any knowledge in the 4 wire glass replacement will work?

Hello !

Well there is a diferent resistor configuration you should check for the "common" I mean they use to have "two" sets of defroster`s resistors the 3 wires uses 1 common and 2 "hots" on the 4 wire 2 commons (-) and 2 "Hots" (+).
Anyhow you should be able to to identify the correct wires to prevent a shorth circuit if not sure better to get the correct windshield.
