1997 Toyota 4Runner - 4 cyl - manual transmission - 147,000 miles:
I am contemplating the installation of a trailer hitch to my 4Runner, but I am not sure if it advisable considering that I have a 4 cylinder engine. Any suggestions or comments?

You can put a tow hitch on the toyota, would recomend not towing more than 2000 lbs. And with a tongue weight of less than 200 pounds.

Consider using Reese Hitches. They can help you tow light load considering its not advisable to tow heavy load on your Toyota.
