95 4Runner check engine light on!

Have a 95 4runner 3.0 litre 4x4 automatic with 107k and recently the check engine light has come on and went off a few times. Now it is staying on and I had the code read, said running rich. It runs pretty good but doesn't idle very smooth and the mileage isn't as good as it should be. Have put new plugs, wires and dist cap on. Where should I go from there? Thanks.

I suggest you have the timing of the vehicle checked.

I checked the timing, it was at 15 degrees. Supposed to be ten at idle. I set it at ten but still idles rough. I hate to replace something if there is no need to but I guess I'll try the coolant sensor, and the oxygen sensors.
