My upper radiator hose feels hot as normal, the lower hose feels cool, sometimes slightly warm, the upper half of the radiator feels hot, the lower half feels cold. The heater works fine, the the temp gage never goes beyond normal, halfway, there seems to be no problem with overheating etc. Whassup with that?
Thanks,
DH

By the description given, it seems like this is a normal condition. The purpose of the radiator is to direct air through to cool the hot coolant. This vehicles cooling system cools from top to bottom. Meaning hot coolant enters from the engine to the top of the radiator. Then air passes through the radiator fins, and coolant exits not so hot.
