Timing chain job

I’m doing a timing chain replacement on a 2007 5.4l, I have all the roller followers out and I have installed the new chains, phasers, guides and tensioners. Is it ok to go ahead and turn the crankshaft to get the cams in the right position to put the roller followers back in, since the chains are all right on the phasers will it keep the correct timing if I turn the crankshaft to put the followers back in. I used the tool to get the crankshaft in the correct spot to set timing to put the chains on but I know it won’t be in that spot after turning it to get all the roller followers back in

Yes, it is okay to rotate the engine over without bending the valves, you must adhere to these videos to show you how and what to do. It is best to keep all of the roller followers out while installing the timing chains.

Ok so when I turn the crank to get all the followers back in I don’t have to worry about putting it back in a certain spot, it’s good to go as long as all my marks were lined up correct

That is correct, remember once you turn the engine over after the timing marks were lined up they wont line up again when rotating the engine over FYI.

One more question. I have all my roller followers back in. I know my marks are not lined up now since I had to turn the crank several times. Do I need to turn the crank to line the pulley notch up with tdc or can I just put the pulley on where it sits now

You can just install the damper. There is only one way it goes on.

Well, got everything back together and trucks starts fine with no issues and sounds good, better than before. Will run fine until it gets hot then it runs rough like it’s missing. No check engine light comes on. I plugged my scan tool up anyway and it reads p0300. Ever seen this. Where should I start.
