Can we clarify what the issue is? Your timing chain tensioner failed, and you have a hole in the valve?

Can you confirm you have the 2.7L engine? Basically, we need to confirm what the issue is because if the piston hits the valve and damaged it then we may need to replace the head and maybe even the entire engine if you have piston damage.

I am attaching the info below on how to check to see if the timing is correct after you replace the tensioner.

However, if you have valve and piston damage then we are going to have a bigger issue.

Let me know if this is what is happening, and we can go from there.

Thanks
