My car recently has leaked a bit of transmission fluid. I replaced the fluid and put some conditioning fluid in it but it is still doing something funny. No matter how fast I am going thirty to seventy mph whenever I let all the way off the gas and then hit the gas again, about three seconds later there is a thud coming from underneath my car. It is not as bad the harder I press the gas but it happens pretty much every time.

It may be the torque converter clutch kicking in and out have a transmission professional look at this or it is something like an axle worn he can check both.

Just did. He said it was the torque converter and that the stop leak stuff actually probably caused it. I am going to have him change the fluid and filter and see if that fixes the problem. If not I will probably need a new one.

Fluid and filter won't help more than likely it's clogged a valve partially as well as maybe ate the clutch facing off of converter.

So he changed the fluid and didn't see nothing scary. Ive got a drive tomorrow form Kentucky to Florida and am thinking about taking it. The new fluid didn't do much but the shudder isn't as intense as it had been. Ive had two people tell me itll probably be fine to make the drive with it. What are your thoughts?

The most that will happen is it will quit working and your mileage may drop some.
