Can anyone tell me the size on the thermostat housing bolts? I have called Ford dealership and searched internet and can't seem to find the specs on the bolts anywhere. E800156S72 is the Ford part number if it helps. I can't seem to get any info on them even with that.

Hi,

That is an obsolete number. If I recall, the bolt is a 14mm. If it isn't a 14, it will be a 13 or 15mm.

Is that what you needed?

Not actually, what I'm needing to know is the length of the bolts and how big around the bolt itself is and the thread. Im not really sure what to call it what I need to know as far as the thread goes but I kno the threads can be different and I kno it's important to have what was factory or it can damage the intakes threads & that can be a bigger problem than I care to have. So if anyone could help me with any of that id really appreciate it.

Okay. You need to know the diameter, length, and thread pitch. I have to be honest. You will need the manufacturer's original drawings to get that to be certain. However, here is what I suggest, and I know it will sound like a pain. I need you to run to the hardware store and get a 5/16 x 18 SAE bolt and 1 1/4" (one and a quarter inch) length. Purchase one. See if that works. For some stupid reason that sticks in my head from a rebuild a few years ago. Ugh! I wish I could remember other things. LOL

Let me know if that works.
