Will not start after replacing steering column

Changed steering column. Now wont start. Theft system?

Did the replacement column come with a transceiver ring at the ignition cylinder? (picture). If not then you will need to find it on your original column and install it on your replacement column.

I imagine this is something to do with the ignition switch but clearly it is hard to know by just changing the column. Did you use the same transceiver module and encoded key? Was this a new column or a used one that had these components on it already?

I included the process for the column. Look over it and see if anything stands out that could have been missed. If not then I included the info about the theft system as I suspect we have something there.

Have you checked for codes?
