Swaping motors

Ok I got a 1983 gmc s10 its the shell I got a 1989 chevy s10 with and motor and trany but ihave 700r4 I think because the guy that had it had a big v8 in it I was wondering if the will just swap right in or do I need new harnesses and stuff and please let me know what parts?

There was no factory V8 for the s10 series

if he had one, then you need to change everything to yours including harness and exhaust. The 700r4 should be good

springs will have to be changed for the added weight.
