Transmission pump not working

Have just replaced engine in 1993 legacy and now the transmission is not functioning. Symtoms are no fluid is being pumped to the cooler and there is no response from transmission when the car is put into drive. It would seem to me that the drive has been damaged when fitting up the new engine. In this case I suspect that the trans will have to be removed and the coupling inside the gearbox will need to be replaced.

It sounds like the mechanic jamed the flywheel and either locked or broke the front pump assy. An expensive mistake or you may be lucky and it will spring back in place. The tranny still has to come out.

Maybe if you drove it on the left side of the road like here it would work better! Ha ha a small joke Let me know
