Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Subaru Forester 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 141000 miles

started changing cv shaft i was about to replace the shaft but i notice a spring looking O ring was sticking out im trying to find out where does it go and if it goes inside de gap where the shaft goes will it fall down all the way or will it stay there while i put the shaft in.

Hi, The One Snap Ring On The End Of the shaft Is The Only Thing That Should Be On there. It Goes In the Groove. Where Did The other Ring Come From?Was That On The New Shaft Or Old Shaft?
