I have changed the steering column and ignition out. I bought one from the salvage yard. I got the one I just bought in the car. My security light is flashing. It wont even try to crank over. I did not know if I had to put the ignition from the old column in this one? Please help! Thank you.

You are going to have to use the key from the old column so you will need to swap over the old key and cylinder to the column you installed.

You are welcome. It sees that new key and it is not the correct one that is why you are getting the no start.
