Hi Russell,

I am assuming you are saying you feel like you have less power assist turning in one direction compared to the other. If this is the case and not an alignment issue where the vehicle is pulling to one side driving down the road, you have an issue in the gear.

You have what is called a recirculating bally type steering gear. This means you should be able to adjust the over center steering which may help. However, if this does not help, then the only recourse is the rebuild or replace the gear assembly.

Give this a read and let me know what you think or if you have other questions.
