Replaced battery but battery light still stayed on and battery didn't charge so replaced alternator. Battery light still on. What else could it be? Wire from alternator to battery? Truck runs fine but the battery doesn't seam to charge and battery light on dash stays on.

Hello,

That is exactly what I would check, paying special attention to Fusible Link G. To do a quick test on this place your digital multi-meter (DMM) in the lowest Ohms setting and pierce the wire before the fusible link and after the fusible link(small safety pins work well), taking special care not to let them ground out to anything metal because if the fusible link is good or the safety pin closest to the battery even if the fusible link is bad will be coming straight off the battery, ans after the fusible link and take an ohms reading across the fusible link. Continuity (any reading) the fusible link is good, and OL the fusible link needs to be replaced. Also check the electrical connector to the battery positive terminal and to the alternator for loose connections or corrosion. Please go through the wiring diagram for your vehicle's charging system that I have provided in the diagrams down below and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
