What is the most cause of shudder in these cars and in similar cars? Is it that the torque convertor slips? I have zero issues with shifting, no jerking, so it's just a shudder that I want to fix. I added instashudder to see and it helped. So please let me know what you think.
It's an awd. Also, I also need directions on how to drop the transmission and replace it.

Hi,

Do you only feel the shudder when in overdrive? Most commonly, it is related to the torque converter or low line pressure. However, there is a technical service bulletin I want you to review and let me know if it mirrors what you experience.

I attached the TSB below. Read through it and let me know. Also, I check my replies every day, so hang in there and I will get back to you.

Let me know

Joe

See pics below. Note: Pics 1 and 2 are the TSB. The remaining pics are the directions for the removal and replacement of the transmission.

Only in Overdrive, around 4045 and then sometimes on the freeway when the motor bugs down going uphill. Annoying. Gotten much better with shudder instafix. I read TSB. I doubt this is my case, but I will check the radiator to see if any contamination has occurred, even though it says sometimes it is not necessary. The fluid is dark, but I didn't see any traces of water or what could look like water. The fluid is dark. I replaced it twice and now it is much clearer. I will do more investigation. I just don't want to replace the converter and find out it was not it. And there is no pan to check filters or gaskets or rust traces.

Why is it always around the overdrive time? Is it like a specific area within the converter that has worn out or burned?
