How do I bypass the ac compressor to put on a new serpentine belt

Yep, if you get a shorter belt it should work. There is no documented shorter belt routing for this engine in the manufacturer’s specs - bypassing the compressor is not supported by GM, and aftermarket specs still show the standard length. SO you will need to go to the auto parts store and get shorter belts until you find the one that fits. Standard length is roughly 75 inches (1905 mm). They say you cant bypass the compressor but I think you can np. Please get back to me with the belt size you found that works so it will help others. Please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on :)
