On the back side of block above oil pan is a one wire sending unit. It is leaking oil. What is this unit called?

Hello, I'm Danny.

That is the oil pressure sending unit. It is what relays the oil pressure readings to the oil gauge/light on your instrument panel. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
